How long have you been a voice artist?
Since 1991 (almost 32 years omg!).
When did you realize you were good at doing voice overs?
Well almost when I started as a voice-over in the early ninety’s. I finished the school of arts in Amsterdam, so I became a professional artist, but couldn’t earn my money with art… I knew I had a “good voice” so I did a casting and what do you think, 2 hours later I got my first job, a big project in Brussels, really an adventure. A taxi from Amsterdam to Brussels, and not any experience yet ….ooooh! I feel very comfortable with the microphone and as a singer, musician you automatically have a natural feeling for tempo and timing. I‘m told I‘m fast in understanding what the client is looking for, and my voice-acting is natural. I’m sort of a “one take – talent” as they may say. I did some big projects for years….
Do you have a funny anecdote about a voice over job you’ve done?
lots, but I’ll keep that as a secret! ;-).
What compliments do you get about your voice?
ow, you sound so beautiful….blah blah blah, ow, you are so fast… blah blah blah, ow, you look completely different from what I had expected???? oops hahaha.
