When did you realize you were good at doing voice overs?
In my first year of College. A huge crowd of students would take our seats in an amphitheatre and when I ask a question most heads turned. At the end of the class I was invited to hold a show on the Academy's radio. A few months later I did my first commercial.
Do you have a funny anecdote about a voice over job you’ve done?
Portuguese voiceovers have a reputation of being calm and slowed-down. I'm usually told to be much more playful and fun. Once it got almost out of control: the local representative couldn't get enough of "playfulness". But then the Portuguese client joined and asked "are we on a hurry?" and we got back to a settled-down take. That's why we don't need the "Keep calm" memes. We're Portuguese!.
What compliments do you get about your voice?
